Installation Guide
Get the Monstrosity running in 6 steps
Install Java
Ensure you have Java 17 installed. Download from Adoptium or Oracle.
Get a Launcher
Download CurseForge, Prism Launcher, or ATLauncher. CurseForge is recommended for easiest setup.
Allocate RAM
Set JVM arguments to allocate at least 27GB of RAM. See the code block below.
Download the Pack
Choose your preferred version from the Versions section and download it.
Install & Launch
Import the modpack into your launcher and hit play. First launch may take 10-30 minutes.

Your burning questions, answered
Because we crammed anywhere from 700 to 15,000 mods into one pack. Each mod needs memory for textures, logic, and world data. Yes, we know it's absurd. That's kind of the point — it's called a Monstrosity for a reason. 🍓
We strongly recommend v1.20.1 (v1.12.0) for the best stability and experience. It's the flagship build with 700+ mods that actually play nicely together. The 5000 and 15000 builds are for the brave and the insane.
We love your spirit, but this modpack needs serious hardware. 27GB of RAM is the minimum. If your PC has less than 32GB total, you'll have a rough time. We recommend an SSD and a dedicated GPU too. Your potato might become a baked potato.
Head to our GitHub issue tracker. Please include your version, crash log, and what you were doing when the bug occurred. The more detail, the faster we can fix it.
You want MORE?! ...But sure, at your own risk. Adding mods to a 700+ pack is possible but may cause conflicts. Adding mods to the 15,000 pack is technically possible but spiritually questionable.
Server packs are available for the main versions. Check the download section for server files. Note that your server will also need 27GB+ of RAM allocated.
Have you seen the mod count? Have you seen the RAM requirements? Have you seen the download size? It's a monster. A beautiful, terrifying monster.
Depends on your internet speed. The full pack is ~64GB. On a 100Mbps connection, that's roughly 1.5 hours. On gigabit, maybe 10 minutes. On dial-up... don't.
